This project was completed on behalf of CDSM for Welsh Blood Services and was centered around their 'Horizontal Hero' campaign in effort to get a younger audience into donating blood.
This animation was destined for delivery over the web in conjunction with a new Welsh Blood Service website. Its purpose being to align itself with other engaging and interactive 'comic book' style mediums in effort to appeal to a particular audience. The concept, characters, and script were supplied to Ray Dale Multimedia by CDSM, where full (but rough) storyboards were drawn up by Ray Dale (the image below shows a small snapshot of one of the boards).
Once the storyboards were agreed upon, the animation was turned around under tight time constraints.
Because of the time constraints it was decided to go for a minimal animation style. This style - although not as extensive as first planned - still helps to further the storyline and breath a little life into the project.
