Carlo Chinca
Carlo Chinca - a photographer based in Bath - wanted a unique website that expressed his character and approach. Carlo has a relaxed and personable air about him and it was decided to express this through the website by attempting to coax users into interacting with his photographs. This was achieved by randomly sorting the photographs and piling them slightly on top of one another. Then, enabling the user to pick up Carlo's images with a mouse and drag them around - thus introducing an exploratory element into the design.
The website uses a full Flash user facing frontend whilst also integrating a CMS (Content Management System) behind the scenes to enable Carlo to update all contents and images easily. Heavy use of Actionscript enabled the integration with the CMS and the playful elements on the websit. A bit of 3D animation was also used in various sections to express an organic animated feel to some sections of the website.
