I have just posted my Demo Reel of 2009 and before here: 2009 Demo Reel. There is a variety of work in there ranging from my early beginnings in the design industry (in 2000) up until just before 2010.

In the Reel I showcase a small selection of work and concentrate on interactive design and video. So, no print design in there, just web design, cd-rom design, motion graphics, video editing, 3d modeling and animation etc.

Hi and welcome to the newly revamped version of Ray Dale Multimedia.

I will be making many improvements to this portfolio over the next few months as I add new and old completed projects into the portfolio area. I will also be improving the design of the site and adding facilities for existing clients. 

This website marks some major changes from my previous portfolio and allows me to offer a far more consistent service to my clients as well as more potential to market my capabilities in general.

Overview

This discussion largely focuses on full Flash websites. It is beyond doubt that Flash serves a purpose as a component of a hybrid HTML website when displaying video and animations. However, I am focusing this article on the usage of full Flash websites, which have come under a lot of criticism recently and not always due to valid concerns.

Speculative design is a process where a company may ask a list of agencies and designers to 'pitch' ideas for a project - be it a website that the company needs designing or even print work. The list of design agencies or designers will then compete against one another to win a lucrative contract to design for the company. The company then shortlists the design agency or designer based upon the work they produce in the 'pitch'. Eventually, the winning design agency or designer will be offered a contract to complete the work for said project.
